Opening a line of communicationMiscommunication is the root of most issues between dog owners and their pets. At FurKids UK, we open a line of communication between you and your dog. Helping you to understand your dog and communicate with clarity rather than confusion will help you to train your dog or address any potential behaviour problems, increasing the bond between you and your companion and teaching him the social skills he needs in today's society.
Traditional dog training often concentrates on task training to dogs who really are in need of social skills. If you can help your do to develop confidence, she will be able to exert self-control and make the right decisions, even if not micro-managed every single moment by the handler. This is our objective in pet dog training - a reliable companion who is welcomed everywhere. Trainer and behaviourist Bettina Alfaro and her team use positive, reward-based methods to help you achieve your goals and create a good relationship with your companion dog. No choke chains, shock collars or harsh physical corrections are used. However, gentle does not mean permissive! You can achieve excellent results based on the psychology of how dogs think and learn. The approach has proven effective in dealing with any issue from puppy problems to aggression, and it takes into consideration each individual dog and owner team and their circumstances. Basically, we are helping you, the owner, to train your dog or modify his behaviour in small, easy steps, setting both you and your dog up to succeed. Our clients are local dog owners in Milton Keynes area who appreciate private, quality in-home training at reasonable rates. You are not required to purchase a block of sessions, although we do offer package discounts. Still, the number of sessions needed may vary from dog to dog and problem to problem. For simple behaviour problems such as toilet training or pulling on the lead, one session may be all that is needed. While serious behavior issues such as aggression take longer to address, the goal is to make your dog’s behavior as reliable as possible in the short run, too. If you want to install basic obedience, then you might want to work with us over a longer period of time. We also serve Bletchley, Leighton Buzzard, Newport Pagnell, Aylesbury, Northampton and Bedford. To book a consultation, call 0750 66 86 242 or email us!
